Hmmm What a load of hassle! When I removed my fog lights for cleaning a few years back I don't remember anything having been cut but then it was a while back. I have a few days off this week. If I get a chance I'll take one of my lights out and get some photos for everyone.

Pezza - thanks for the comment. I'm really pleased with the look; everyone should consider it! It looks quite natural, given that 996s and 997s have painted grills.

Cheers,

David

I am just starting to look at these parts so forgive me I am a bit of a neophyt as to whats available out there.

OK, so for those of us waiting to jump into this what is the recommendation for the best part(s) to buy for least hassle? Would like to stay away from "fabricating" my own parts which is what you guys have practically needed to do! Is ther an OEM part or the like?

Happy New Year!!!
I'm gonna try these roche recommended

Hopefully will be able to lose the bumperette at the same time.

Brad,
Do they have a model with the foglight retained?

I plan to lose the bumperetts as well. Euro lenses are on the way!

The HK people that make the techart copy kit finally responded to my emails.... As I said before in my earlier post, I purchased this stuff in November and it had still not arrived. Given the info on this thread, here's what I emailed them this morning:

"Jenny,
I have read from several sources on rennlist (from customers that have bought this product) that it does not fit well. In fact, it requires several hours of modifications +/- cutting out sections of the bumper. Further, the picture on your eBay ad is clearly Techart product, not your own. I am told that you will not accept returns, despite the fact that your product is: 1) Substandard quality and 2) fraudulently advertised on eBay (using another manufacturers product picture).
Any response to this?
Matt"

I'll post their response, but my feeling is that I'm stuck with $200 of crappy plastic bits.

Don't think they have the light. Plus that would just cut down on airflow.

Stefan,
I agree. They haven't responded to my email (posted above) and I'm stuck with a box full of plastic ****. I wonder where they got their "99%" eBay positive feedback from?

Who was the HK seller? Was it HKplus? The listing in post #1 of the thread is not available anymore...

Matt,
I, too went back and looked at their feedbacks. All I found was most of them buying these cheesy chrome door handles and fake wood steering wheels??!!
Go figure...
tj90-WARNING TO ALL RENNLIST: HK PLUS, AVOID LIKE A PLAGUE.

Stefan,
I've emailed the seller back asking for a refund. If I don't get anywhere (as I suspect), I'm going to enter a dispute claim with eBay. Even if I don't get my money back, at least these jokers won't get to sell their crap to anyone else.
