Question Problem with Gert HD Bilstein M030 conversion

I bought the Gert HD Bilstein M030 kit and the highest I can raise the rear perch is 5 1/8" or roughly 130mm. I would like to set the car up for RoW Standard which is roughly 147mm in the rear according to the instructions that came with the kit. Has anyone run into this problem? From the fender to the ground is roughly 25" in the rear. The front fenders are also about 25 1/8 to the ground on both sides. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!!

Are you refering to the X and Y measurements in the instructions? If so I have most of them and yes they are installed.
Front left 7" Front right 7 5/8"
Rear left 5 1/8" Rear right ?

thanks

If they are installed, then you can measure the vehicle at the Porsche reference points to see what ride height you are at. For info on how to measure the Porsche reference points, check out the first part of the Suspension DIY linked in my signature.

No. You have the fender height measurements, (so I assume you installed the shocks??), but they are quite imprecise for a number of reasons. What is the height of the chassis at the measuring points? (i.e. the bolt on the front, the flat part of the aluminum carrier on the rear.)

The shocks are installed. Thanks for the clarification. I will take the measurements tomorrow from the measuring points and post them.

I was able to get to the rear measuring points. The flat part on the aluminum carrier is 4 1/4" on the right side and 4 3/8" on the left. Which I think is equal to 110 mm and 115mm.
I think the above is slightly higher than RS settings. The rear is the problem. The shock looks the same as the instructions and looks just like the pictures in InTheAirs do it yourself thread. The sway bar collar and lock on top is all the way to the top of the threads. I will take a picture tomorrow in the daylight.

Thanks again for everyone's help!!

Question

Here's a picture of the rear shock. According to a local shop its adjusted all the way up and the ride height is still only 115mm in the rear.
Any ideas?
BTW where do you take the measurement from in the front? The drawing in the manual is not very clear. Is it taken from a bolt or the flat spot on the control arm? If its a bolt, then which bolt? I found three on each side.

Front height is measured to the head of the outermost bolt. (There are two adjacent bolts. As I recall, the outermost one is larger.)

Thanks I will give that one a try tonight. I just got an email from Gert and he say's if I want to go any higher in the rear I have to change my RoW rear M030 springs to US standard or US M030.

Is anybody else having problems setting there rear Bilstein HD shocks with RoW M030 springs higher than 115mm???

Thanks again for everyone's help. This is very frustrating.

Steve,
It is difficult to see detail in the pic of your rear shock; however, it appears that not many threads are visible below the drop link mount. I have 13 threads visible ( ~20mm) - and more available to turn the adjuster upwards.
If your tread count is less than that, it may well be possible to further increase the rear height .... despite advice from your installer ...

Steve,
Here is a pic of my suspension as I set it up the other week. I am at the lower end of ROW Sport height, with 25.5" fender height (measured at inner lip) and 128mm at the rear suspension measurement points.

Do you have two lock rings above the end link mount? You should certainly have more adjustability than what you're being told - I have the same springs and shocks from Gert.

Thanks for all the help. I reached above the shock with my hand and I can feel roughly another 20mm on top. That would give me another 3/4" of ride height.

Steve
