my understanding is, they are pretty easy to install as well. Just takes a couple friends and a few hours (pizza and beer might help!!)

Default Here's some shots from my garage.

I used Vic's Place to add several vintage signs to the wall. I think I'd leave my walls white keep things bright. This really helps with the lighting if your floor ends up being a darker color. I went with 8 four foot florescents. Plenty of light to do any type of maintenance.

My ceiling is 10.5' . I think the optimal for me would be about 12'. You want enough to operate the lift, but in my case, I don't want any extra volume to heat in the winter.

Mike, you beat me to posting the names of those books! Doesn't that kind of efficiency run counter to the spirit of "the team"?
Chris, you will love these books... just one delicious page after another.

I have seen pictures of a garage recently with bright yellow walls and checkered flooring. It looked great. I will see if I can find a link.

LOL I was purposely going slowly, too.

Good work on your part

How about posting a larger version of your avatar?

I'd love to get a better look at it.

Thanks in advance

On this picture, how do you get the gold car up in the air? The garage door doesn't look like it will clear?

A/C & heat, cable tv, built in cabinets & workbench (not in pic), Armstrong tile floor, ceiling fan. I sit out there frequently (on my 71 911 chair) when the wife &/or kids are using the big tv.

Here is mine - more functional than pretty (it's a garage, not a rec. room but I do hide out there when my 3 year old son is cranky ).

It uses one side of my detached garage (the other side is storage and my beater CR-V is in the double attached garage).

The workshop is 27' x 27' with 9' ceilings. It has propane heat and internet access.
