wind screen
hi
I have been thinking about buying a wind screen but would like to know if it is really usefull in reducing wind distress on hair, eyes etc.
also, if anyone has one- can this be used with the boot on?
thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Hi Herbie -
Yes, the windstop does help to reduce (not eliminate) the blowing hair issue in an open cabriolet. This requires the windows to be up for maximum effect.
Wind noise at speeds above 80 mph is a fact of life IMO.
Yes, the windsotop can be used in conjunction with the boot cover.
Best wishes and happy motoring

Hi Herbie,
I had one on a Saab convertible and found it made a great difference as it stopped buffeting and it helped keep the car warmer when I hit lower temperatures. I would certainly have one on any other convertible that I bought.
Cheers,
David

$200 - 250 but make sure that includes the mounting hardware(!) There are three or four pieces needed to mount it to the cab frame. These parts can cost upwards of $100 or more (total) from the dealer.

I have an extra wind stop with a broken arm, saving it for when I need to repace the mesh (though I would trade it to Chuck for a CDR 220 ). The stop allows comfortable top-down driving with the heater on with outside temps in the low 50s. Really nice on winter days and/or fall nights.

Cool Weather Tip
"The stop allows comfortable top-down driving with the heater on with outside temps in the low 50s."
Do not lower the top in temps below 55 F the plastic window will crack.
Best wishes
