Have a P0154 CEL code. Official description is "O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 1)".

Could it be anything other than a dying O2 sensor?

Hierarchy of Possibilities:

- loose connector (inside engine bay)
- broken wire (has four)
- broken O2 sensor (no voltage output)

I think I got the same thing. Would like to fix it at some point, but not sure where the O2 sensor that is at fault lies. There are something like four of them if I am right.

I had a CEL P0154 come on last week. I have cleared the code - but see that some folks believe it may be caised by a loose wire/connection. Can someone explain where specifically the connection is located? Thanks.

Connectors for the (4) O2 Sensors are in the engine bay, (2) on the left and (2) on the right. (1) on each side will be Black connector and (1) will be Gray. The black/gray part will slide allowing the connector to separate. Wires to the actual sensors are long, ~30".

"Junction box" where the connectors are located are mounted just in front of the taillights, they are not in the brackets attached to the engine. Most likely under black plastic housings protecting several connectors.

I just got CEL code P0154 - Bank 2, sensor 1.

If I understand correctly, Bank 2 connectors are located under the plastic box on the passenger side?

The car is at 115,000 miles and I'm not sure when the sensors were last replaced - possibly 40,000 miles ago, if at all. Is it advisable to replace all the sensors, or only the one that triggered the CEL?

All I can add here is that on a carrera, Non Turbo there are Four.
Two pre-cat and 2 after the cat.

Two fronts control or have greater impact on Air Fuel Mix for my carrera

I think the Life Span is 60 - 100,000 Miles But are warrantied to 100,000.

Incidentally, to avoid wires scrunchinp up or clumping all together, Prior to install
Spin all wires till stretched out, kinks reduced, In the Opposite direction of when u Install.

Simply put - Just Un-wind the wires in Opposite direction of Tightening
This way they do not end up in a ball at end of sensor.

Also eliminates possibility of sending irregular signals to the DME

I appear to have fixed the problem by disconnecting and then reconnecting the wires. I cleared the CEL and it has not reappeared, yet.

I would think a bad o2 sensor wpuld give several slow to warm codes and then the heater element would fail with a o2 heater fail code. No signal would make wire suspect.

I replaced all 4 sensors with new one to solve the p0134 code since there was no record of them replaced on my car with 101Kmiles. Today, after 30 mins drive, I got P0154 (O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity), P119 (O2 Sensor Heater Cir Bank2) P115 (O2 Sensor Heater Cir Bank1) . I clear the CEL and they come back after 30 mins drive. Has anyone encountered this?

You're sure you replaced the connectors in the right spot? Also, what part numbers did you use?

I replaced all four with Bosch 13721 x 2 and Bosch 13723.

Hmmm. I used 15738s that cross referenced correctly. Also, I only replaced 2. Can't remember if upstream or downstream. Did yours come with connectors or the generic end that you can put the old connector on? From your description it sounds like it's not reading any input from them.

Mine come with the connectors. If your car is 1995, it only has 2 O2 sensors, I think.
