Mike gave me the plate off his car he's selling so I wouldn't have to drive home without a plate and the owner in NM wanted his own plate back from obvious reasons..
...wish I could have co-ordinated the DAS BAR with Mike and when I was drivnig right past Tulsa.. oh well, I'll let him know you have one in Tulsa... I'm sure he'll see this thread soon enough anyway!

doh! never knew so many rennlister's in STL area.. go figure...
...I did see the exit for Gateway (off 203 I believe)
...unfortunately that last trek on I55 was torture (flat farmland of Illinois) so I doubt we'll ever want to go to Gateway and deal with 5 hours of nothingness for scenery (see attached for example of Illinois)

If I had to drive the entire 1300 miles with Illinois-type scenery, I'd have gone absolutely MAD!
At least along the way I got to see some interesting things like:

So I went to the track yesterday and I must say I am impressed. For a car rolling a 56k stock suspension and so-so tires I was amazed at how well she did. I took it kinda slow the first session or two just to get the feel for it but by the third session I was finding the grove with the car.
Big thanks to Chris for taking the drive!
Cheers!

congrats on the car purschase. Just be happy you didn't have to drive through nebraska. I drove through it last week on my way from Seattle to KY. Talk about a boring drive.

lol.. I tend to avoid Nebraska at all costs!!! ...heck, even Iowa is more interesting than Nebraska...
...like the saying goes... I spent a week in nebraska one day... (sorry to any rennlisters in Nebraska but driving in your state isn't fun)
