I have wanted to purchase a lift for years, however after reading the thread by Ray Calvo on the jacking problem. I have decided to make the purchase. Unfortunately my 993 has been lowered. Can any one recommend a Hydraulic Scissor Type lift that will work with our low ground clearance P-Cars. I have some information on the Direct Lift Pro 6MR. However I am not sure if my ground clearance will allow you to drive over it without ramps. Sorry to read about Rays jacking problem

This is mine, normal ~3.25" of riser, but can be increased in 1 1/2" increments by adding another layer of 2x12
I roll the carpet up and put a druip tray in place for messy stuff

another way is to cut out the concrete and sink it to floor level. That is a bit more work then i wanted to do. It also makes a great adjustable height work bench using a piece of plywood like Bill has on his.

Best price I found was at www.gregsmithequipment.com I drove there to look at it prior to purchase. It is a very nice product. They loaded it in my pickup truck and had to think of a way to get it out as it is very heavy. I ended up renting an engine puller and lifted out with that. Once it was on the floor in my garage i used long pry bars to move it into place. I have used for oil changes and going to use for my upcoming shock/spring install. No way I would want to do this with jackstands.
Let me know if you want pic's, I can email them.

Jay,
Can you supply picture with your P-Car on the lift. I looked at the web site, the video is lifting a truck. I would like to see a true automobile lift.
Thanks for the info.
