Question Value Of OEM Wheels & Tires $$$$$$$$

Hello,

My new 1997 993 is finally being delivered this weekend. To that extent I have purchased new tires and wheels. With that said I would like to sell
the OEM wheels and the tires. The car & wheels have 13500 miles on them. One set of tires have 13500 miles and the other were replaced about 200 miles ago. Needless to say, there basically new!!

What price should I attempt to sell the wheels and tires for. Where on Rennlist is the best place to post them etc?

Thanks everyone

Jordan

Which OEM wheels are they? I'm thinking about getting another set to powdercoat black.

The best place would probably be the classified section but you have to be a Member to access it (or to post anything for sale anywhere on RL).

I sold a set of OEM 16in Cup Wheels off my '95 last summer for $1000. They were bought by a RL'er who picked them up, so I didn't have to deal with shipping at all. Become a member, then post em in the classifieds.

OMG that is insanely high for 16" cup rims IMHO... I missed out on a set for $400 locally WITH tires and another set a guy has been insisting on $600 and has had them for 7 months now....

I sold off my set of 17" cups WITH Pzero tires with decent life left for $800 (and no major road rash) so I just can't imagine why someone would pay $1k for 16"s but that's great for you!

I had no idea. I just posted them to see what response I would get & about 30 days later they sold!

I just sold my 17 inch Cup wheels with 5mm on the rear tyres and 3-4mm on the fronts. Got £357 on eBay, which works out to about $662. They weren't perfect, but I have no room to keep them otherwise I would have kept them for the track.

I like the 17" cups with ROW ride height. Unless of course I could get 18" Speedlines.

If the tires are like new then $1000 seems to be a great price!
Tires alone will run you that much depending on what they are.

yes, I'll agree that if the wheels are in great shape (curb free, etc.) and tires are brand new (or very close to it) that $1k is very fair for 17" cups

try buying those wheels new or getting refinished wheels and you will see that those prices are not insane at all
