When I sold my 944T, in the adv' I put everything negative that I could think about the car with regards to mainteanance. Clutch is expensive, balljoints etc...yada yada. The only folks who inquired (not many) were people who were seriously interested in that model P-Car. A kid drove 200 - 300 miles to see it, didn't even want to test drive it our peform PPI. The following week he returned with his dad with bank check in hand for the full asking price. So writing some what of a negative adv' kept the tire kickers away.

I feel the same way. I'd rather have someone who realizes "what they're in for" to come look at the car. At least they should be more serious shoppers, or they'll want a PPI before coming to look.

Question: does it makes sense to ask for a deposit before driving the car to the shop for a PPI (which I'm certainly willing to do)? If they have an inspection service come over, I guess it wouldn't be a big deal.

thanks!
