Didn't see "more enjoyable to drive" on that list.....
I too have never had any of the problems listed, including well over 100 track days on the 993.

Oh, and the lights (highly modded) are vastly superior on the S4.
All others being equal (and of course they aren't) the 993 is immensely more enjoyable to drive IMO.

Had a '90 Coupe Quattro; loved it as a daily driver and was the best snow/winter vehicle I've ever had, but feel the 993 has been more reliable in 90K+ miles on both cars;
- Haven't had a water pump go in the 993
- Haven't had a timing belt go in the 993
- Haven't had the front A-arm bushings totally go on the 993
- Haven't had a headlight switch go on the 993 (went thru multiple steering column headlight switches on the Audi)
- Clutch died on the Audi at about 90K; 993 one strong at 93K
- Seem to remember adding oil more frequently to the Audi than the 993

2. Actually surprising how many people used to comment on the Audi (I think now people are just in semi-awe over the 993).
3. Isn't and never will be. Viva la difference!

Um... There is a ginourmous difference between a '87 Coupe GT and any current S4. The S4 is an awesome car and I'd love to have one as a daily driver. An '87 Coupe GT - not so much.
