As GratefulJED & Danny mentioned, there were supposedly a group sold by BH Porsche. I downloaded these pics a few years ago so I don't remember the details, but it's supposed to be one of the BH cars.

Default Single Turbo 993 Cab

While I'm at it, here's a pic I have of one of the single-turbo cabs. It looks like this was for sale at a Porsche Dealer - note the "Porsche Approved" sign on the nose of the car.

Fluid- Great memory. I, too, saw that a while back: as the license implies, it was for sale at Sport Haus, Reno, NV. I remember seeing it online & drooling, but not knowing if it was factory, or merely an inspired conversion. Its Sport Haus stock was #1267C. Luv its looks -- thanks for the photo journey down memory lane.

If anyone can offer follow-up on its selling price, current home, pedigree / VIN, please do.

Your good pics deserve others: here's a slightly different angle of the factory 993 widebody speedster:

curve lover - that's awesome! Before reading this thread, I didn't even know a 993 Speedster existed.

A little off topic -

My brother owns a Red/Black 1989 911 turbo look cab with whale tale. 30K original miles. I think they made 14 of them or something like that.

I know this is an old post, but I saw the BH widebodied Cabs when they were for sale at the dealertship. These were converted after they were delivered.

I would like to find one. I came across the arena red one back a couple of years ago.

If anyone does have details, please let me know. I would like to buy one.

Thanks,

That was a $17,000 option!

Exclamation request to find 993 Speedster

Julian-- A year later, & you may be in luck: for sale. French eBay ad claims ties to Sultan of Brunei:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=013
Details (not affiliated): item #230195238259. Seller wants >$200k USD.

------------------------------------------------------------

Now, request for help:
Soon, I travel from the USA to Germany. Any info of a 993 Speedster I can see in person is greatly appreciated. Factory original preferred, but due to their rarity: conversions accepted, prefer 993 over 964 donor, etc., but love to see any. If it's for sale, even better. (A goal of mine is to master US DOT import legalization requirements, & this may be worth the hassle.) Willing to travel as far as Spain/ UK/ Italy, etc.
Private Messages are fine.

Hopefully I can be early to the party this time; I arrived too late to dance with the following, advertised in Germany with a 3.8L engine recently:

& too late for this Spanish beauty's sale just prior...

(See strange similarities for a Porsche sold in two countries? Make it three: Spain Speedster photo's identical to Italian sold ~Jan07, found by '964polar' Henrik:
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/321504-speedster-993-in-italy.html).

Regardless, that's past; back to the current search: please help me meet a 993 Speedster in person. Big thanks in advance!

I talked the Adrian Streather about this. In 1998 Beverly Hills Porsche did sell around 4 of these conversions. I searched and found three and bought one. It is a 12k perfect Carrera S Cab.
