Default Secondary Air Injection/Check Engine Light question

If the check engine light turns on due to clogged SAI ports, what code(s) does OBDII indicate, and what sensors are being used by the system to generate the codes?

Thanks in advance

The codes indicating a SAI problem are: P0410 and P1411-secondary air injection system.
I don't know the answers about the sensors, etc.

The code is generated by not reading a high O2 state (or lean) on the O2 sensors while the SAI pump is running. If the ports are plugged the fresh air does not get into the exhaust stream and thus does not get to the cats. The O2 sensor before the CAT will see the fresh air because it will contain a higher percentage of Oxygen than the air that went through the combustion process. This is why there is a circuit floating around rennlist that clamps the O2 sensors only while the pump is running ; the computer will read a clamped O2 sensor as high O2 content and thus think the air is coming through the ports....

The problem with commercializing the circuit is that it voilates EPA regulations which can have bad consequences for the manufacturer of the fix.

Cheers,

Mike
