Default Texas Ticket

I cant remember if I shared this or not. I called the courthouse in nowhere Texas where I got the ticket on the way home from Arizona. I got the charge "defered" by paying an extrsa $50 to the coffers of the Great state of Texas. This means as long as I dont get another ticket(in Texas) in the next 90 days, the charge will be dropped. No insurance rate hike. $50 well spentfor me! One hell of a scam to get more of my dollars for Texas !

You got lucky..... some counties make you pay the $50 + the ticket cost.

When I had my 993, I got a ticket in Dallas and got nailed for ~$250 for deferred adjudication.

What county were you traveling through?

It was $50+the ticket cost. Total $211, but the extra $50 was worth keeping it on the lowdown as some would say.

We saw more cops working traffic in Fort Worth than we saw the whole rest of the trip.
