![Question](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I purchased some spare fan belts and decided to do a visual walk through under the hood to be prepared if I ever had a failure on the road. Checking the top four A/C compressor mounting bolts, side adjustment bolt and the hose clip, I discovered that they're all 1/2" in size. I tried a 13mm, but fits too loose; 12mm is too small. Anybody know why these bolts would be SAE in an otherwise metric car?

I tried a 6 point 13mm socket and it fits loose. Then tried a 6 point 1/2" socket and it fit perfectly. Also checked with box & open end wrenches with the same result. Very strange...
