To trade or sell outright my 95? Pricing thoughts?

www.nsxprime.com is a good site to check out if you're considering an NSX. As for your car's value it's definitely worth more than 27k if you were to sell it outright. You might want to even consider parting some of the aftermarket goodies out since they don't add vaue to the car for a dealer.

In Ontario we get a tax savings for a trade in, if you are buying a $30'000 car but trade in a $20'000 car you only pay the taxes on the $10'000. Might be worth asking around about.

You are saving the sales tax on the $27k that the dealer is taking off the purchase price of the NSX. So, if the NSX is $40k, then you would be paying sales tax on $13k rather than the entire $40k. If sales tax is 10%, that is $2.7k so the price you got for your 993 would be $29.7k

To answer the original question, I say that his car is worth $31-$34k on the private party sale market. May take a while to sell. And that price assumes a strong PPI and good condition.
The sales tax savings is a consideration, and so is the hassle-free factor. The hassle of private party selling is worth something as most of us hate it. Especially if you have to go to ebay or autotrader to sell.

I'm staying with the 993!
Well the NSX deal didn't work out and the funny part of it is... I'm almost glad! Maybe I wasn't really ready to leave the fold. There is truly something addictive about these cars. Must be the oil fumes!

Good move Keith, you would have lost interest in the NSX within a week.
I have a video with the engineers at Porsche testing the NSX as the potent rival when it first came out
and I remember them saying that they didn't quite understand the body design or the layout of the NSX.
I looked at the NSX and I was turned off by how fragile it seemed to be.

I test drove and NSX, at a Porsche dealer! :-)) was going to trade my car in on it.
had 18k on the clock, I guess someone traded it in.
It drove well and handled nicely, but I just couldn't deal with the honda accord kind of thing.
Its OK for some people, bet you it's ultra reliable ! :-))
