Default 993's in Denver with aftermarket exhaust?

I am trying to figure out which route to go and would love to hear:
-fabspeeds (maxflo or supercups)
-b&b
-schnell
-rsr's

any of the above!

Unfortunately I'm not much help, I bought them used so not sure what they cost new. They are smaller than stock but I don't have a specific weight. I would imagine they would be comparable to other aftermarket exhausts. Sound is deep and throaty, and they do resonate, as most seem to, around 2800-3000 RPM.

Maybe we can meet at one of the DIA Solo 2 meets if you want to hear them. Hopefully I'll have the bypasses in next weekend though so it's going to be louder than w/ just mufflers. I also have a home-made open, cup-style airbox cover so that adds to the sound too. Oh, I may take the 993 to La Junta with NASA in June too; I registered w/ my Scirocco but am not sure which I'll take yet.

There were three types of silencermade by Cargraphic - see their website. They dropped the "quiet" ones (can't think why that was!?) and kept the loud and louder ones. The website has the reference numbers and these shopuld be stamped on the silencers or on a plat welded to the silencer. Someone in Greece was selling the middle ones recently. I have some sound clips on a putfile site (see my signature). Let me know if you come up with any other lips and I'll post them.

Cheers,

David

I have a 98 993 S with GHL's (loud version). They sound great and I don't get any resonance...windows up or down. The fit and finish is 1st class in my opinion and I have been very happy with the sound and look. But, at the end of the day, an aftermarket exhaust is all about your personal opinion!

GHL louds are what I have on there now and one of the baffles is loose so it has an annoying rattle. I love the sound but it might be too much for a long trip.

TroyN...Yea, I guess I will have to wait until '07 to post again! I'm on the board a bunch mostly reading and learning. I look forward to meeting you and other Colorado members at a local DE event this year.

Sorry to change the topic but since it appears that there are a few fellow brethren in this post, do you mind me asking where you have your service work done? I have a box of goodies that need to be installed as well as an upcoming complete M030 suspension. Any success stories would be much appreciated.
