Have you looked at the little trailers from Harbor Freight? Some may laugh, but for the money you can't beat these guys. With a little DIY you should be ready to go for a couple of hundred bucks.

I have the da'lan 993 hitch--it's actually very elegant in how it mounts on the rear tow hook and bumperettes. I'll gladly sell it for $200 plus shipping, including the 1 7/8 ball, which would add another $25 or so on top of the $330 it cost.

I guess it does not work if you have deleted the bumperettes?

Cheers,

Mike

I guess that depends on whether you can still access (or still have) the metal mounting points that are behind the bumperette. To mount the hitch, you drill a hole into the center of each of those metal mounting points and attach the hitch to those points (in addition to the big bolt that goes behind the plate).

I had that hitch and it was pretty sturdy.

I have a friend with just the trailer for you. I bought it from Kim Ouye, but never used it as I went to a full open (now a closed) trailer. He bought it from me intending to use it to haul his tires for autox. It's been sitting in his driveway since.

Located in Half Moon Bay, CA.

does it scratch up the bumper, or cause any drilling in the bumper?

Doesn't touch the bumper. No holes in the bumper.
