Bruce-- Beautiful 993 ^^
Re: your avatar...
I had the pleasure of meeting RLer 911Dave & admiring his Oslo Blue lightweight at the 2012 PCA Parade.
Glad to learn you bought it, & great to see it being enjoyed
Curve Lover, appreciate the comments, I truly enjoy the 993 and Oslo as well. Small world, in the photo above at the Concours on Sunday 911Dave is parked two cars to the east of my 993. He has a beautiful Diamond Blue 1988 Commemorative Edition G50 coupe.

[QUOTE=Lilled;12345122]I guess "Curve lover" gave you the answer The car started its life as an Targa -83 that was marged with a Turbo Look coupe from -85 and then all body panels from 993 and so on…
Yes thanks Curve lover.
The car looks great and the results quite impressive. this color happens to one of those colors that sets me off similar to Riv Blue for others. I can't help but to wonder why not sell the '83 and start with a 993? I would think there would be a cost and time savings to this type of project if one would start with a 993. Besides being to lazy to search for your story on Pelican excuse my ignorance of your project and not knowing the whole story.

[QUOTE=Grapeape;12346341]
When I bought the “car” (an empty shell with no chassie standing directly on the floor in an old barn) it had already been equipped with 993 rear fenders and a roof from a coupe. I was looking for a car that already was “destroyed” and that I didn’t need to consider restoring it to original. That’s also one of the reason why I didn’t start with a 993, they are quite rear in Sweden and to cut in all fenders etc. felt like a bad idea. The cost were also a factor, the cost for starting this project were reasonable although the end cost turned out quite high as always…
