Hi Rich, Thanks. I am pretty sure that is Steve's car. I am almost positive it's not Eric's. Yes, they were from the rumble.

Hey it's Mikey, just got a new TT.

What a great way to get to know your car! Did you take the tram to the top of the zugspitz?

You mean like this?

I had grabbed a couple of quick shots. Not working at it. I liked the sky better in the original one in this thread.

I'll look for the magazine.

Yes, better, of course. Don't be afraid to bend down a bit more.

It's always nice to recognize good sceanery when it's right in front of you.

Anyway, I thought this thread was about images of cars and not landscapes. Let's see the shape of the car accentuated by good choice of light or angle. Carlos' images represent that best. It's about the car... a nice backdrop is swell, but if the car is not shot properly, it's just another landscape with a car in it.

Another example of accentuating the sexy lines of the car.

Simple stuff this photography. Kida boring to my eyes however.

To each his own. Personally, the image taking is monkey business... the art is in the manipulation of the image making it art.

The majority of people want to hang art... not photos.

Again, it's really all about the sexy angles, to me anyway.

ALAN,
Your pix are some of the best on this site. There should be a dedicated section just for your photos alone! BTW, hows the back doing?

Then, we can talk about lighting and the importance that plays in a good image.

When do we get to talk about scantilly clad women and the importance they play in a good image?

Thanks Dave,

The back is finally all better now, thank God. However, it will not be 100% for another six months, me thinks. It's a slow process.

Talked to Coleman, and he wants to plan another Tiki rumble/bash at his place. We are shooting for October... Weather will be nice that time of year, can't wait!! Come by the lounge and have a Moe-she-toe.

Now, here is another example of sexy lines and how they are accentuated with shadow and tone.

Like in this one? As you can see I tried that too, but liked that one I posted best.

I like both of your shots above.

I agree that ultimately it should be about the car, though there are lots of ways to do that, and sometimes tell a story too..

But I did notice something when looking at both, to your point that it should be about the car.

In the first you use a discreet asgphotowerks to idenitfy, and I presume, protect the shot.

In the second you have really large script initials with a drop shadow as well.

I think that second one disctracts your eye from the car and calls attention to itself. I think the discreet way to id it works better for you and the impact of the photo. Just a thought
