Default Wanted: 993 shift rod for RS clone experiment.

Hi all,

I'd like to try building up my own version of a rs shift rod by attaching a helicopter joint onto a stock shift rod.

Does anyone have a "donor" shift rod they would sell me for a fair price?

I've been watching ebay for about 6 months and no luck so far. If this fails, I'll be off to a wrecking yard.

Thanks,
Pete

Pete:

I may have one up in the loft of my shop. I'll look tonight when I am out in the shop.

I've got one, it's yours. PM your address and I'll send it down.

Pete:

Looks like Don has you covered.

I did find one. For reference, here's a pic to make sure we are all talking the same part:

That's the beast!

A little grinding, welding and drilling and I am like 5 seconds faster at the track.

Interesting, my original doesn't have the same mounting design. Or maybe I'm missing something.

Doh! I thought you were talking about the stock shift lever - I don't have that part. Sorry for the false alarm!

Like Don. Drop me an e-mail or a PM with your address and I'll send this off.

Next time we see each other, buy me a coffee or what ever the time calls for !

Wow, two guys offering parts inside of 10 minutes. This place is incredible.

Don, thanks for the first offer. Jim, thanks for the backup and winning offer.

I'll work to document this little project and keep you all posted.
