How many 95 993's with OBD2 style connector?

My 1995 has the OBD 2 connector.
I made an interface circuit, along with the ScanTool 3 software for the 964 I can communicate
with my Motronic. I had to change the Motronic baudrate setting to 9600.
I haven't gotten the ABS, Airbag or Climate Control to respond.

How do you check the Motronic version on the car?

I would love to have a home code reader that reads my ECU, but I can't try them out as stores don't refund them once I buy.

Is the interface circuit basically the PCB with the ELM controller? Many are available, did you have to build your own or was it specific to the 964?

I'll publish my stuff in a new thread. I designed and built my interface.
I don't have any experience with Motronic or OBD. I used the 964 software and
hoped it was very close to 1995 993. Then used an oscilliscope to figure out the
baud rate was wrong.

Not sure if this one will work on our cars, but take a look anyway:

Re the earlier message about what to do with the tape holder thing, you can replace the tapeholder with a nice little bowl shaped replacement. The dealer has it for a few bucks--might be the cheapest thing on the car. It's got a 964 part number.

FWIW my '95 had the ODB II connector. My '90 has the big round multi-pin.
Speaking of connectors. Would this cable work with the '95 ODB connector?
http://www.obd2cables.com/products/p...8763c6dc9cf5ec
If so I have the PCB board built from the 964 thread and I'll make one cable for the '64 and another for the '93.
I went pretty geek with mine kit....
