I plan on replacing the JIC Competition Suspension with PSS-9s on my ‘96 C4S. I have TRG Sway Bars (25mm/22mm). I believe the JIC suspension has attached front camber upper mounts and the rears have pillow ball upper mounts. Should I reinstall the old Porsche mounts with the PSS-9s? Can I install the PSS-9s with the JIC mounts or should I buy aftermarket mounts? Do I need different Drop Links or will the ones for the TRG/JIC system fit? Thanks.

You can not reuse the camber plates or the rear shock mount off the JIC for the PSS9. So you either have to get new mounts, of purchase some camber plates and monoballs. You may need new rear drop links. Depends what they used to make the JICs work. More than likely you will need to get a set of the RS rear drop links though for the PSS9s.

Tim,
Congratulations on one of THE NICEST C4S's in the world. Since you're local, hows about bringing that puppy out to Calabasas for the "Eurocar Sunday" gathering. Roughly 600 cars are expected. Email me (ca993twin@yahoo.com) for details.
Oh... I have no idea about the suspension mumbo jumbo. Sorry. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks Viperbob.
There’s lots of PSS9 installs going on from the Group buy – for primarily street driving is best to stick with the original Porsche mounts or purchase aftermarket camber plates and monoballs? Are there any recommendations on brand?

I too am curious- why are you moving to PSS9? If it's because JIC's are too rough for street driving, I would just move to M030, which would save money and get a smoother ride at the same time. Just my $0.02

Check the spring rates John... Most likely you are going to need to revalve and get new springs. But still will be cheaper than new... Then you can save for the MOTONS

Tim,
Good to see you posting here. I was afraid the JIC's were going to be too harsh for your liking. If you need help installing the new suspension, please let me know.
John - there are 2 sets of springs. 7-10's and 9-12's. Dampers only have 2-3000 miles.

If you run into trouble Bill, I am having some special drop links made for the JICs to work with the TRGs or the RSs.
John somehow it is hard to feel pain for someone that has 2 nice 993s
