kiwi993:

when I put the "2" on the TT tail people gave me hard way to go since the "2" appears on the 964 series and not on the 993. I think it looks great, but others (not everyone) didn't think it appropriate. Some liked it some didn't. Hell it's not like I put a Cadillac crst on it. I may do that on Blackhorse just to see the reactions. this place is fun.

Personally I prefer the silver calipers, gives a black car a nice monochromatic look, but it’s a C4 color. Never really liked the red, seem way overdone, though it doesn’t really look bad, but people might say there not big reds. I think the yellow would look really good, but that’s the Turbo S color. Actually for about $1500 all of these colors were an option when you bought the car. Anyway I voted for yellow.

Joe S. Thanks for the vote. i wasn't aware you could order colored calipers on a 993. Again, you learn something new everyday. Thanks again for the vote

Yep, the silver calipers were an exclusive color available on any Porsche. Also they were an $1100 option IIRC. So silver may add value to the car....

I voted for yellow because it's unique. You see red all the time. Silver might work if you do clear corners and silver hood crest - really go monochromatic. Personally, I'm more anit-bling, so I'm leaving mine black.

I agree

Funny thing the yellow calipers were a couple hundred dollars more than the red and silver. Maybe this is the best way to add value.

Too many rice burners paint their calipers RED!
On a black car, Yellow would be really cool but Black or Silver gives it that serious business look!

First choice would be black calipers silver decals. Next would be yellow with black decals.

Mike,

If you go to the Porsche website and "build your own" black S cab, it shows the car with red calipers. If you add the ceramic composite brakes as an option it shows yellow.

Good way to compare..

Mike, yellow with black. I'm finally finished getting all of the parts together for the paint booth and I asked them about adding painted calibers. I told them a black car and the shop recommended yellow. At this juncture, I'm leading to yellow as well. The red calipers on black car look real nice as well.

I voted for RED, but I am biased

One thing to remind the powdercoater is to completly strip any sign of any coating off the calipers, like to bare casting. I have powdercoated yellow calipers before and found that the yellow color is difficult to cover any discoloration underneath.

Yesterday, I voted yellow. Now I'm not so sure. For a look, there are pics of black with yellow in this thread:
