I achieved 132mph on the back straight at Buttonwillow....a bit more at California Speedway (I was afraid to look)

Back a few years, 178.4 radar reading in the Pony Express 100. This was in my modded 951.
I have seen into the 150's on the straight aways in my 993TT and even faster on the "special" off beat test tracks... Not quite the 178 number, but not because of any lack of power....
Things take on a whole new driving dimension once over a sustained 135+ MPH...damn !

I've topped out every car I've ever owned. It's a rites of passage sort of thing (for the car, not for me )
Incidentally, the most fun car to drive at sustained top speed was my '82 Benz Diesel (95mph)

Wow, you guys really aren't getting it.... go to the salt flats website. It is an organized event, sort of like a 1 mile drag, and if you make it to 130 (standing start, controlled distance) you get to join the 130 mph club. My friends and I wanted to try it (951's) when we took a trip out west, but we missed the date by about a week or so.

Hi, mlincoln!!!
This alone won't get the response...you need to clarify that this was with your Fabspeed Supercups that were creating needless & offensive noise polution. Also, you may want to open to door to how this creates danger to those around you.
Oh, BTW, a member of the 160 club here as well.
Cheers,
Rick
