But porsche arctic silver (porsche generic color) came in two codes for the 993.
First code is L92T
Second code is L92U
AND I SWEAR THERE IS A GOOD DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO ARCTIC's
L92T is with a very very light mist of violet under sunlight and more depth (excellent after wax).
L92U is lighter and more alu, a porsche classic
Now which arctic silver have you seen or compared ?????

It was available in '97 as a $3000 option.
I gladly paid for it, because the polar silver cars actually had more horsepower than the white cars.

I know I know the thread is one year old, but never old enough for a good color
Look at the sun reflection on this polar silver 964 Turbo... Arctic silver can't compete ;-)

I have spent a lot of time around both and have owned two Arctic Silver 911s and as well as a Zermatt Silver 951 S and a Glacier Blue 951; Glacier is sort of a darker and more blue version of Polar.
IMO Polar is more unique and classier with greater depth but doesn't mesh well with more track-focused / hardcore 911s. For me it would be Polar for near-stock 911 and Arctic for a hot rod or track build.
Can someone throw pics of Silver Metallic into the mix?
