Alcantara interior pieces for 993?
Anyone have or install any alcantara (ultrasuede) interior parts on their 993 or older cars?
I was very impressed with the alcantara pieces I saw on the Ruf RGT and thought it is a nice look.
Im especially interested in a shifter boot as well as possible coverings for all the vinyl parts (sun visors, etc). - basicaly anything that wears alot b/c alcantara seems more long lasting.
thanks.

I did most of my interior in suede and other materials on my 964.. I used suede on the controls and center console, I used full grain on the tranny hump and on the door panels, suede on the upper door pillars (the fixed interior ones) and then some tasty swiss rubberized textured stuff in the footwells.. (helps to work at nike at the time.. man that material library was insane..) It came with the camel interior and after a while that just kinda really got on my nerves.. plus the seats were jacked and the light colored carpet was stained... so i pulled it and replaced it.. it was a kinda PITA, but ultimately worth it.. I didnt do my headliner, as it was already black but if I were to do an Alcantara part on my 993, it would be that..

All jokes aside, I think he did a great job in visualising everything before it was even done. The outcome is great but to each is own.
I think he got everything reupholstered by some company. don't you guys have a company called Katskins that can do it?? I've herd guys doing it themselves but everybody seem to say that Alcantera, is not easy to work with. It's quite thick and doesn't stretch so much.
