Aft market Turbo Spoiler question - rain protection?
Hi:
I'm putting that experimental fiber glass spoiler on today. Here is what the back of it looks like.
My question is, is this enough for rain protection? If is rain, the water pretty much go right in? I looked at the OEM spoilers (fixed and non-fixed) and it seems like rain water would nevertheless get in also.
For those of you with fiber glass spoiler, what do you guys do?
Thanks in advance.
Paul

But I was just browsing ebay and ran into this ad. There were 2 minutes left, and before I knew it, I bidded on it. And before I knew it, it arrived at my door steps. And before I knew it, it is now painted and ready to go on.
Does it look better or worse that other aft market spoilers? It seems pretty well built and seems to fit pretty good. The screws holding the catcher was rusted and broken off and my installer had to take the rusted broken bolts out. That's what leading to my concern about water entering the engine, and water gathering in the bottom part of the spoiler (where the latch is).
Anyway, I'm keeping my stock lid ready in my garage in case I need to put it back on...
Will post pic when it's done.
