Everytime I search for 993s on autotrader I never find any speed yellow models. Was this color only offered for a certain year?

 

I don't know the complete answer to your question. But I can say that on my 97 C2S it was a $2955. option.

 

I read on Rennlist that it was a no cost option until the 1996 model year. I can't confirm that to be true, but it does jive with what I've found: lots and lots of SY 1995 cars, but fewer SY cars 1996 and after.

 

yes, I know that when I bought my 96 993 brand new, I was told it was a $3k option for getting a speed yellow instead so i opted for my next favorite color of Guards red.

 

FWIW it was a no cost color for 1995 968's.
