At the end I finished with the OEM size for the 4 wheels (265/35ZR18 for the rear)... it is working fine!

Regarding the wheels... a great Rennlister got them for me!! Original 993 RS wheels - Speedline for Porsche

And the car is a joy to drive! It is amazing how much better those 18" Michelin Pilot Sport II are when compared to the stock 17" Dunlop 8000 I had since new...

I have 295/30 PS2s but on 11" rims (and 245/35 on the front)...I now have some slight rubbing on the left side so will be breaking out the baseball bat

295s should be okay on 10" rims with an ET65 offset.
