Ahhhh.... Memories! What was your first sports car?

Drifting
The first sports car that my dad didn't own was my 1966 MG Midget in British Racing green with a tan interior and white wire wheels with center knock offs. It was never able to go over 90mph but it sure handled well.
It had the worlds worst electrical system, 12 volt positive earth, that caused me all kinds of trouble but was still a fun car till I was creamed by a motorhome at an intersection.
I bought my first Porsche 914 with the insurance money from that wreck and haven't owned anything but Porsches since then.

I think any car that stirs the passion for driving counts!

1987 928S4, 5sp. Test drove at the dealer in 1987 (while still in college) then bought it for $8k from a local chef in 1997. Drove two years before selling to a well-known pianist for $12k. A/C didn't work but only other maintenance was replacing a halfshaft that lived for years with a torn boot. I had such terrible seller's remorse that I bought an identical one a year later, but this time it cost me $16k.
