Slider,

Watch out for this car. A friend of mine had a PPI done on the car and decided to pass. If you are seriously interested and have "permission" to buy, let me know and I will contact my buddy. I think the re-paint is just the beginning on this car.

It looks like they painted the top of the battery polar silver too.

This is a dumb question I know, but does a car seat fit in the back of a 993 ?My wife will go with me to pick up the car IF we can bring our son.

I would just say no and have a spirited drive back home without someone saying "slow down".

But to answer your question. Yes, some do fit in the back of a 993...not sure which ones though.

..

Be careful, this may be a trick question

Please dont get too emotional with this particular car. Have it checked-out thoroughly.. Good luck!

Couldnt agree more. I wanted a sports car badly about 4 years ago but held back and waited 6 months before I found the right one.

Several Porsches came my way and Im so glad that I was patient and took my time. Impulse buying nearly grabbed me a few times. I wanted a sports car and I wanted it now. Thank God I was a somewhat of a rational thinking 33 year old!!

Regardless, best of luck with your purchase.

Slider,
I would seriously take Patrick's comments to heart and be careful on this one. Like others have said, there are more 993s out there.

A friend of mine had a PPI on this car. Not only did it have a poor re-paint, there were more clutch issues than stated by the seller, and the wheels were not all of the same type. His general reaction after the PPI was... no way.

I have emailed this information to the originator of this string. I hope he follows the advice to stay away.

Lots of "I believe, I think, I would anticipate".

Q: hello, are you the original owner? thanks tony
Mar-22-06
A: I believe from the service history that I am the 3rd owner, thanks,James

Q: Did the previous auction winner have a problem with some aspect of the car ?
Mar-22-06
A: Yes, One PPI revealed the clutch pedal has an intermitent sticky release in the last 1/2 inch of freeplay. The clutch action however is smooth and strong, no clunks (dual mass issues) and no shudder. The fact that this car has the original clutch and it is still strong at 76k denotes to me a car that has not been driven hard.I would anticipate replacing the clutch at 100k. Thanks, James
