Aside from the possibility of dings, dents & mishandling from the attendants, I've always found valet parking somewhat comical. Around here, cars are often parked less than 100 feet away. Yet a line forms and people anxiously wait and watch as the attendant runs back and forth. In addition to the flat fee, I'm supposed to tip for the priviledge of standing in line for five minutes and getting to open the passenger door for my wife.

I guess I'm cheap & impatient
