Default Quick question for Rejex users...

I have speed buffed the entire car with a cleaner but have two questions:

1) Do you put any wax on the car first or ONLY Rejex?

2) Do you wax on and buff off after 5-10 minutes or do you REALLY leave it on for 12 hours? The wording on the bottle sounds like you buff off immediately and then leave it in storage for twelve hours to cure .

Thanks.

Robert

When I read the label I assumed Buff off immediately and wwait 12 hours to cure

I was going to try it WITHOUT wax

just did a search and found it. You wait until it hazes and then wipe off. I bet it would take a jack hammer to get off if you left it on for 12 hours!! :-)

I've just finished doing my BLACK car with Rejex -- To be honest to me its just like other polymer polishes --It did an OK job and the car looks like a black diamond -- But It didn't leave me speechless or anything I did it just after washing the car and didn't wax it beforehand -- I power buffed the majority of it off and then finished by hand ---

Where oh where can you get LINT FREE cloths -- On a black car I spend most of my time chasing lines of lint around the bloody car !

Try applying a second coat. I found the shine to get better the more layers you put on the car. Easier to apply and remove with each successive coat, too.

For a dark colored car, though, I would think a carnauba wax would be the best to bring out the depth of the color. I loved Rejex on my Polar Silver car.

Mark - try some 100% cotton diapers. They're thick, very soft, last a long time and lint free. Wash first & dry without a dryer sheet. Kragen Auto has them as well as Target, et al.

And your user name is "Brave Heart"??

Eric is right, I find using 100% cotton rags (in my case old bath towels) the best for removing dried polish and also find microfiber towels don't do quite a good a job as the cotton.

Humidity plays a large part on how the Rejex comes off. I've found high humidity tends to make it take a lot longer to dry and smears. Clean, dry, 100% cotton towels work the best for me.

And, no, I don't sell Rejex... wish I did, though.

I found Rejex super easy to put on and buff off. I did it over 6 months ago and the water still beads. In fairness, my car is a weekend driver and I only wash it every couple of months.

I haven't used Zymol or Zaino so I can't compare it to them.

My car is Arctic Silver.

It is important when washing those cotton towels/rags to not use fabric softener (especially in the dryer). I wash them by themselves and put them through the rinse cycle twice.

Worst is over, though we are still under a flash flood watch. Today was the first day of blue sky in weeks. Better enjoy it as they are expecting more heavy showers later this week. Thanks for asking.

okay one thought, the 996 guys like to put the rejex on the calipers, but dont you think that the heat from the calipers will burn the wax off (or melt it since its wax haha)
