Re: slowing with e-brake. I used to think it was best to not let the cop see the brake lights, as that would be admitting guilt. I've since changed my thinking. I figure, if the cop sees that I'm slowing, he's done half of his job, that is, keeping speeds down by being seen (the other half is of course generating revenue). Now, these cops are out there all day, stopping cars and writting tickets constantly. They have no shortage of people to tag. So, since I've obvioulsy slowed down, he says, alright, he's cool, let's go get someone else who's paying less attention. Plus, if he sees the brake lights, he knows he can't clock me by following me, and he'll have to estimate my original speed. Better to follow some other idoit for a mile (at a higher speed = more $$$).

Mine is very accurate analog.
The way I see it it's about 29mph/1000rpm in 6th gear
I'm checking to see how linear this is at higher speeds and at top speed.
I tried it this week, at 5000rpm 143mph on the speedo was 142mph on the GPS
I'll try to bring it up to 180mph but I don't know if I can take the photo while driving at higher speeds and I won't bring a passenger with me. Chris

Chris - how on earth did you get that picture so steady at that speed? Please tell me you weren't taking it whilst driving!

Yeah like Chris - My GPS and speedo are in synch -- I think he just needed a donut infusion

Yes I took it while driving, it's pretty steady up to 165 and then it gets a bit harder to hold the camera steady and it gets really hard at 180+
I think I'm going to make a mount for the next run. It a lot safer and easier to get the right shot.
I have one that I took at 212 in the RUF Turbo but both cameras video and still were mounted on the roll cage, Chris

Where was this? I live in the city and would ike to know.

As far as speedo accuracy; my 964 is dead on while my 944 was about 10% happy.
