That statement has been around for several years, and will be true for many more!

Rumor 'round the camp fire is that black '96 993's fitted with techart formulas are the fastest 993's around. Something about a "magic" combination of parts working in perfect union.

Do a search on "white" cars and you'll see the truth...Any year is good as long as they are white

Actually, 95 Polar Silver cars are faster & more reliable. Ones with the basket handle are said to have at least 8 hp more than the rest.

I was looking for a `98 C2S when I found the well sorted `95 I ended up buying and I couldn't be happier with my `95.

BTW... guards red are rumored to look the fastest standing still

The Aventurine Green 993's are the fastest. Aventurine accounted for a small percentage of production and Porsche could consistently put engines that were in the top 5 percentile into ALL the Aventurine cars, which is precisely what they did. It's not a coincidence that the dealer from which my Aventurine 993 originated said that mine "always had good karma". Lucky me!

The white ones are a close 2nd, BTW...

Yes, totally true. And definitely the fast color of choice. Of course...Glacier White is the "whitest" white, so it stands to reason that it would be the fastest of the fast.
