x10 It should be in or at least linked to the DIY section.

Are others not seeing it in the DIY section? (we're talking the DIY section here in the forums, right?)

BTW, this thread is at 11,996 views--4 more and I get a set of steak knives.

OK. Just finished replacing the US suspension on my 993tt with the Bilstein HD/ROW M030 springs combo. I had to loosen the 6mm allen head screws holding the heating ducts in place to allow easier access to the inboard 18mm eccentric bolt on the rear control arm. I also found that a 3/8 drive air ratchet with a deep 13mm socket works wonders on removal and installation of the rear strut tower nuts - snake it in there and use a flashlight to guide the socket onto the nuts. They can be zipped off in no time that way. Thanks to the thorough DIY writeup I was able to get the job done in about 4 hours.

I just bought a 1995 c2, and was thinking about doing the HD/MO30 install with Euro RS sway bars.
I read through this entire thread. I also remember reading in one of the posts that all currently sold Bilstein HDs have the extra 30 mm thread. Is this correct?
Can somebody be kind enough to give me the proper parts number for the shocks?
I found some weird part numbers online: i.e. BE5-6131-HO and BE5-6131-H1 just for the rears.
I am confused...... Which ones are the correct ones to get? What about the front ones?
I am going to order the parts separately if it is cheaper that way.

Thanks

Are these the proper and only possible HD shocks? And do they have the extra thread?
(1) F4-VE3-B648-H0 Bilstein HD Shock (Left Front)
(1) F4-VE3-B649-H0 Bilstein HD Shock (Right Front)
(2) F4-BE5-6131-H0 Bilstein HD Shocks (Rear)

Thanks

Those are correct.

You might also want to just buy the parts from ViperBob, and don't forget the small plastic pieces..well worth the $15 or so.

Just finished up my install - no spring compressor required. Follw the DIY, and you'll be fine.
