Looking for an RS Aluminum hood, any leads apreciated,Sonny.

 

Good luck... I have not seen one avialable for a few years. Why not Carbon Fiber? They only weigh 7-8 lbs and are cheap these days.

Have a Porsche dealership check their computers for inventory at the factory in Germany for part #911-511-010-30-GRV. I just looked at my emails and when I last price-checked on 10/21/2004 (a year and half ago) they had plenty in stock for $1950USD. Its a longshot but there is always a slight chance they'd still have some.

I saw an alu hood at www.van-zweeden.com about 2 months ago. Was off a 964 RS. Me thinks it could fit your car.

I have a steel one avaialbe for cheap

 

the 964 hood is different from the 993 one - it will fit but it has sharper creases and does not have the washer jet openings. Not to mention they were discontinued when the 993 was introduced. last NOS one i saw was $8K.
the 993 was still available in Germany from porsche and porsche motorsports for about 2500.00 about 8 months ago.
Carbon is about 6-900.00 and is as light depending on the lay up process or for a really good one priceless.

I have a set of aluminum doors on my car, what I need is the hood for the match! oh and of course those Ruf bumpers!, salud!, Sonny.
