993 C4S and Child Car Seats?

Echoing comments by 'Father of 3', who sounds like he's about three years ahead of me on the growth charts. - 'Star Riser' works well for three reasons: (1) small foot print, (2) doesn't snag on moving cab top, and (3) minimal projection of bottom cushion into 'airspace' between front & rear seats (thereby allowing front seat to move back a fair bit without pinching small legs in back - important consideration if you're over 6' and have the 6-spd to shift).
I'd suggest trying whatever you can get from the 'big box stores' (since they've got easy return policies), and if something works, great. But it all else fails, it sounds like you've got a bunch of rennlisters recommending 'Star Riser' as a reasonable alternative.

I got my star risers at babycatalog.com in colonial blue.
They're now discontinued by britax so you have to hunt them down.
shipped ups, somehow arrived in a day, with free ground shipping.
only $69 each. prepare to be flexible with color. I almost went with cowmooflage but they had the col blue in stock.
