When your car is in so many pieces that your wife asks if she's going to have to park outside the 720 sq. ft. garage and you are wondering how in the hell are you going to get it back together.

That's when it's your car.

When you spend more hours on RennList than work or with family.

When is the car yours?

The second you transfer money to the seller.

I agree with the total, in-depth cleaning to start with - should include a good orbital buff with scratch-X (if needed in spots), then machine polish, finishing with a good wax. You'd be amazed at the mirror finish this can produce.. Then once you write a check to your mechanic to fix anything and do a full service, its YOURS.... at least that was how I felt.

Time has a way of developing a close bond with it, money spent to make it better increases the development of that bond. Time and Money taken away from other priorities in your life prove that it is an important part of you and that in itself proves it's yours! Chris

When I drove it home, it was "mine". No more bonding time needed for me.

The day it rolled off of the shipper's truck.

My PO wouldn't even recognize my car. I really don't believe he had much of a clue as to what he was getting rid of.

Actually we don't own these cars...a vintage Porsche transcends ownership concept...we are only custodians, respectfully taking care of them for the next owner or generation...

Hey I didn't think we accepted poser cars here, just kidding about letting you be here TYNUSKT............. but seriously, how can you call your car a 95' when it's actually registered as a 77' ? That would make it a 911 not a 993, no matter how much 993 stuff you bolted on.

Sorry dude, it's just an observation from a stuck up 993 purist......ZP44

Once you fix all of the little nagging things that you told yourself you would do to the car when you bought it. For me there were a few things, the biggest being the ROW ride height. Just took care of that so I call it mine now. Can't wait for some good weather to take some decent pics.
