Default LeMans jackets - Can we do another group buy?

I was hoping to get one of the leather LeMans jackets that was ordered last fall.
Can we get a few people and do another group buy?
How many people do we need?
Anyone else care?

Good idea Rob. Considering Santa didn't deliver even after given explicit instructions, I suppose I will have to buy my own. Add me in for a Lady's cotton.

I'm a little foggy this morning and can't remember how to post a link to the thread, but do a search in 993 for ' McQueen/LeMans Jacket Group Buy ', and you will find the big thread on one of the group buys.

Hope this helps.

Just an uninitiated question: what is a proper occasion to wear this jacket? I can only think of meets amongst car guys. Even then, since I'm not an accomplished driver, I feel pretentious to be wearing such a jacket.

I actually thought of joining the group buy the last two times, but I can't get over this question. May be I just have low self-esteem.

Be prepared to potentially wait a while for delivery... I ordered the "mechanic" shirt Nov 28 and I'm still waiting for it. He keeps saying, that it should arrive "soon".

cp- these are bigger issues than any of us are qualified to address. But, depending on your health insurance, i might be willing to try
Im suprised you are ever able to even drive the Ruf supercar you own... if you can get into the Ruf, you can wear the jacket.

So, just join the group buy .. you've never looked better !!!!

CP - I'm thinking the perfect occasion is on track mornings. The track is always so cold and breezy in the a.m. ya know. Other than that, the coffee shop, work on Fridays, any p-club event, anywhere you want to wear jeans but still look chic.

The problem is not your low self-esteem; it's your high self-esteem. Ricers are everywhere and a few must be wearing this jacket.

CP-

Get the jacket, it is really nice. If you want to see mine we can get together anytime. It is like anything else; if you own it, use it when you want and screw what other people think.

Yes...I have the same thoughts as well. I can only see wearing the jacket at "appropriate" car meets/gatherings. Probably not at the track as I am no where need "accomplished".

Were you part of the Group 9 Motorsport Group Buy or Pelican Group Buy? I was part of the Group 9 and got my jacket in less than 2 weeks.
