Hi David,

I thought that it hadn't loaded it was so dark! Looked pretty wet as well? Sounds pretty good; especially where tyou are booting it past the camera. Doesn't sound too loud as far as I can tell though the rain is clearly making a fair bit of noise. It will be interesting to see what the other viersion you are making turns out like.

Cheers,

David

Hi Steve,

Whilst they are off the car you have the ideal chance to find out for us! ;-)

Think it's 1.5" internal diameter.

From the clip your mod sounds like my RSR's. Look forward to hearing it in the flesh perhaps this weekend. I'd be interested in hearing the Mille Miglia setup. Anyone have soundclips or even better, anyone in Scotland with these fitted?

Sorry it's a bit long with silent bits but I couldn't find a willing cameraman or someone readily at hand who I trusted to rag the car up the road and back.

Sounds go all the way to the end of the clip though.

Leland, does anything actually make it through the muffler? Love your avatar! Chris
I'm wondering the same thing. With your bypass pipes that large can the muffler be doing anything? Why not just get rid of them altogether and drop a few pounds?

Then you just end up with a supercup! Have you looked at Chris's silencers that are like a supercup with a meatier silencer section; they sound really good?

Cheers,

David

The sound is very different to a complete bypass therefore flow must be through the muffler or at very least it acts as a resonance chamber to tune the noise.

Great thanks. Night drives only ensure the roads are free of shunters...

RSR vs Modified muffer comparison video.

First car is a varioram c2s with RSRs, second car is my own varioram c4 with the modified exhaust fitted.

Not a lot in it really... I think that on the road the modified system crackles more on the overun. The RSRs give a more bassy note, whereas the modified system is a little louder and howls more.
