Just come back to 993's with a gorgeous Grand Prix White 4S - yippee!
not taken delivery yet but I know I want to change the exhaust tips already.
The car currently has chrome oval tips on but I think the wide body cars look better with the OEM squared-off, flat bottomed tips.. expecially with the little surround on the bodywork you get on the S's.
I've got a pair of these squared-off style tips at home taken from my old 1996 narrow body 993 which were fitted from new.
My question is - can anyone confirm if the squared-off OEM tips are exactly the same on narrow body and wide body 993's? - if they are I want to clean up the ones I've got and put on to the 4S.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they are different. Check Gert's site to make sure: carnewal.com

They are different--wide body vs. narrow body.
The exhaust is in the same position on both cars, but the cutouts in the bumper are wider on the wide body (go figure). So, the exhaust tips for the wide body have the pipe connector offset to space the tips farther outboard, while the exhaust tips for the narrow body have the pipe connector centered.

I think you're referring to the OEM Motorsound tips?? Yep, make sure you get them specifically for a wide-body car . . . your narrow-body tips will not fit.
BTW, congrats on the new car.
Got any pics to post?

The S cars have tips with angled tubes. NB and Turbos are straight. I changed the stock bright tips of my ex-C4S to big ovals and still have the stock tips. PM me if you are interested.
Here is a not-so-great pic showing the tips the day I arrived home to Dallas after a 1500-mile drive from Miami where I bought it. The tips are much brighter in real life.
