I plan to bring a 993 from the US to Canada and it will be required that the headlights come on when the car is started (basically daytime running lights). Failing that, I could also have it so that all the lights head/tail etc come on all the time if that's easier.
Since this is a prerequisite for importation to Canada, I'm wondering what others have done.
Any solutions would be appreciated. Maybe there's just a module to install, or maybe its going to be big bucks at the dealer.

If you choose to use the headlights as DRL's, a new harness is required and I am told that it involves several hours labor.
I believe that the relay was about $15 - $20 with about a half hour in labor.

Daytime running lights and a child seat restraint are the two things you have to change in order to import it into Canada.
The running lights is a module.
The child restraint is a $7 part you buy at Canadian Tire and don't need to install. Just have it in the car when you go to Canadian Tire to get the federal inspection.
