RS Washer Bottle Install - Pics?
#17
How is the wiring for the relocated reservoir pump modified? I was looking under the hood of a 993 Cup Car today and observed that the pump wiring comes out of the wiring harness that runs beneath the RS reservoir. Is this a special Super Cup harness or are normal cars equipped with this connection hidden in the loom? I have the RS reservoir installed in my car except for the wiring.
Also, how is a factory wire bundle tie down released? It looks like it requires a nut driver type tool that turns triangular nuts.
Thanks in advance,
Jim S.

I didn't do anything with the wiring.
It runs from the passeneger's side of the car to the driver's side (where original tank is) so I spliced the wiring cover and routed it back to the passeneger's side when RS tank is and then covered it with the same "hockey tape" as the wiring originally is covered with.
It's not hard mod, you'll take out the fender liner and remove the original tank and from then on, figure out the wiring, re-route the water line (I ised original tube and juts re-routed it).
As far as mounting the RS reservoir. There are three choices: welding piece as RS has and mounting it on that, drilling a hole and just bolting it through to the body or gluing it.
I glued mine (used liquid nail) becasue I'm always hesitant to burn or drill through the calvanizing and there for getting my car more vulenarable to rust. Will for surely hold and you don't actually see how it's mounted.
