Dan, What are you defining as quality HID lights? For instance where would you place these 4300 lights from Vertex? What brand are you using?

Thanks

I always do before posting a new thread, but since we were on topic I thought it might be permissable... thanks for the info though.

I'm on the list for 6000K's... now I just need a car to put them in!

Excellent!! Just so that ya'll know, D2S bulbs can be had in 4300k. Just check out online or go to froogle.com and run a search on "D2S xenon". Thanks a ton Arena993 for the work. (OT: Why arena and not SY? :-D)

NoSubEDU:

My user name is Arena993 because I used to have a 1998 Arena Red Cab until Old Yeller came in the picture. The PO had the car ordered in Fly Yellow. Here is a pic of my Arena Red 993. That was a great car.

I'll probably buy a set of the 4300's but have a question. I see comparison photos with a front shot of the car with headlights on to compare the difference in HID/halogen. Does that really show anything except the color difference? Wouldn't a better comparison photo be at night, though the windshield? Does anyone have that shot?
Thanks,
Mark

In addition to being a whiter light, I believe that the 4300K put out about 200 more lumens than the 6000K.

For anyone else still waiting for their HID kit, I just talked to Vertex. They are expecting to recieve their backorder shippment next week.

Question though... I'd like my headlights to match my fog lights for colour. I think you can get the Silverstars for the fog lamps, so would 4300K be a close match?

Thanks for the update - I'm waiting on the backorder as well. Not sure about the Silverstars. But you might want to wait until the HIDs are installed so you can do a better match. You can also really brighten up the fogs by spraying the inside with chrome paint. I did this recently and really brightened their appearance when on and off.

I currently have an order for the 6000K HIDs, but was thinking it would be aesthetically pleasing to have matching headlights & foglights. I haven't found stock sized foglights with a slight blueish hue, so I'm contemplating changing my order to 4300K.
