Welcome Bruce. I was in the same boat last summer. Love your choice (See my avatar & sig)!!! Have you eaten dinner in the garage yet while staring at the car? I did for about the 1st week, until my wife claimed I loved the car more than her.

Welcome Bruce, nice ride. I have the same model/ year/ color combo / mileage car. The first thing I did was have the Pss9 suspension installed. Performance is Night and Day. The car looks IMO so much better than U.S. ride height. I bought my car from the original owner here in the Bay Area. Your car looks and sounds like a car I made an offer on before buying mine. That particuar car was located in Oakland, the ca had some tranny work done @ Bauer's? Same one? FYI - I offered the guy $27K

On the exaust, I suggest RSR, I have been very happy with mine, not too loud, but just right, and Rell is really good to deal with.

Congratulations.... your 993 looks great. You guys in the US don't realise just how lucky you are..... that car for mid-$20's!
In Australia that car would cost more like mid-US$50's.

Peter, yes that's the one. Looking at the receipts, the tranny work was the result of pieces of a needle bearing roaming Trannyland, raping and pillaging the gears and synchros, much of which was replaced, along with the clutch. That was a big selling point for me. I had looked at some others with similar mileage and original clutch, and you just never know when it's gonna go.
I just got tires yesterday, S-02As all around. The shocks feel a bit stiff from age, but I'll probably drive it as is for a while before I do any suspension work.
