Shortly after Vasek was killed, the warehouse was opened up to sell some things off. My wonderful wife, who worked for Callas Rennsport at the time, went over with Tony to see what was for sale.
That night she pulls into our garage and tells me that the trunk is full of groceries and I need to come and bring them into the house. I open the trunk and see no groceries instead there is a 917/10 12 cylinder engine case!!!! She says " Happy Valentines".
This ran in the L&M car driven by George Follmer. You can see where it exploded a rod right through the case as it was putting out around 1000 HP+.
It still has the race dirt and grime on it. I wanted to leave just the way it came out of the car instead of steam cleaning it up.
This is definately the BEST Valentines present ever. From the BEST wife ever. AHHHHHH!

That would be a cool Coffee Table and a perfect conversation piece for your guest when they come over. I would leave it just like it is and just get a nice piece of glass but get it in a rectangluar shape.
