Default What's up Guys! VIPER vs. 993

Hey fellas! It's been a while since I've been over here after selling the 993 to 'cab&guy' As some of you know, I had mentioned moving on to a different vehicle with lots more grunt. Well, here it is. It's a 98' Dodge Viper GTS. Talk about apples to oranges! If the 993 was akin to a well-mannered ivy-leaguer with an astute upbringing and easily taken home to meet the parents, then the Viper was the illegitimate son who grew up on the streets with bad manners and could care less about what anyone thinks of him. Truly a 'beast' in all sense of the word. Loud, obnoxious, cartoonish, but oh the power! Nothing like that pure American muscle hunkering down and going like a locomotive. Now I know why they call it a Viper...if you don't know how to drive it properly, it will bite back! I do miss the 993 very much but at least I stuck with red again. The 993 was so well balanced and agile, very easy to drive fast. With the Viper, you really have to be careful if you have a heavy right foot. All in all, I am pleased with the change. Just thought I'd drop a few pics and say Hi! By spring, I plan on supercharging this bad boy, shooting for 700hp and 10's at the strip. Take care all!

That'll look great after you've put in the RoW suspension.

HAHA, if you think stock 993's have an SUV ride height, Then the Viper would be like a Hummer ride height! I've already lowered it with Eibach's and it still sits tall. Lowering it further would require big $$$$$$.

Congrats, your previous 993 and now cab& guy 993 is one of my favorite red 993. Good luck with the Viper, do you still have your daily driver (Mitsu)?

Ya know, I'm so not a Dodge/Chrysler fan, but those really are a badass looking car with just raw everything........as apposed to the new ones, they destroyed the look of it. Good luck with it.

I never thought I'd be driving a Dodge either but once I drove one, I was hooked. As for the GenIII Viper, I must agree that the styling leaves something to be desired unlike the GenII's which look raw and mean. I think 'destroyed' is a bit extreme as the new coupes don't look bad in person. It's kinda like the 997 and 993. I hated the way 997's looked in pictures but in person, they really weren't bad. Still, I prefer old school!

Hey Jeff,
Happy New Year... Man you have been a busy guy, the Bad Boy looks fanstastic. I like waht you've done... the clears, wheels, stripes... jeez don't you guys get snow out there?

Seems like the 993 has been under wraps ever since she arrived. Can't wait to get reacquainted in the spring.

Hey Craig! How the heck are you? So what kind of winter projects have you laid out for the 993? I don't see anything different under your sig? TPC Supercharger maybe? HeHe! Hope all is well...I really miss it over here!
