Jdoc, congrats on the Viper, always liked the looks of the coupe (GTS)??? Careful with the right foot, I can't believe how many Vipers I have seen with front end damage. Too much power and not enough brake.
ViperBob, how would you compare the power of the 993TT to the Viper?

From what I understand, the 96-97 are the best to have, they have the strongest (forged) internals? ViperBob can correct me if I'm wrong on this...

They do have better motor internals in the earlier cars, but a few other things were lacking in the early cars. Cooling, better fan system for the '00s and a better oil pan gasket gives additional capacity and holds off oil startvation in hard turn. The pans really need to be baffled though for real track use. Then there is ABS and simple power mirrors which I won't discuss. SO much power you can unlocked with the cars. I installed different valve springs and titanium retainers along with 1.7 ratio rockers. Instant valve lift increase of the 1.6s that come on the car. The list goes on.... You,ll have a good time you the car.....

I plan to run 8 psi...fun, fun, fun! 96-99 also had a lumpier cam so they rumble and sound meaner than the creampuffs.

Awesome Machine.... and as you said, they can be a hand full. There are two vipers where I work, each driver has spun them out on the road. Take care, but drive and enjoy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
