Doors won't stay locked

Doors won't stay locked
After locking doors with either key or remote, locks
will engage momentarily and then disengage. In
other words, doors will not remained locked for more
than about 10 seconds.
Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, what
did you do to solve it

I am having the same problem with the aftermarket locks on my wife's E, only the opposite. Locks itself after it sits unlocked for a minute or so. But only with one remote, the other works fine. I suspect a short or bad button in one remote. Tried everything including new battery and wiggling stuff around.
Edit: Steve, I just noticed you say "with key or remote".
I thought that unlocking with key was the first step in reprogramming your remote. Maybe that is the issue, that the car is waiting for the code sequence as described in the manual.

Check the alarm module under the passenger seat. Find someone who has a spare and try it.
Many of the independant Porsche repair places have them used. I went to one place hear in Fort Lauderdale Gulf Performance, he had a stack of used ones.

A bad door switch (sensor) would make the central locking system think that a door isn't completely shut, and so the doors would then immediately unlock. So IMHO that's the most likely cause. Offhand, I don't know if a bad trunk switch would do the same.

I had this problem. Do you have an aftermarket stereo? If so, in my case the installer used a screw to mount the door speaker that went through the harness.
I had the dealer redo both harnesses. When I did the search, this also happens when the door lock actuator goes bad (which is infrequent). Go to the dealer, have them run the codes and the book will tell what sensor is being trigered.
